Buddhistisk Meditation – Foredrag 25. februar 2019

ENGLISH BELOW Er du interesseret i buddhistisk meditation?

Hun tog tilflugt hos Lama Ole Nydahl i 1996 i Budapest.

Join us for our lecture on February 25! Daniella Csizmadia comes to Aarhus and gives a talk about Buddhist meditation. The evening concludes with a guided Buddhist meditation.

When you meditate, you get to know your mind. In the East, meditation has been used for centuries to calm the mind, develop concentration and insight. In recent years, meditation has also spread to the West, and is used in many ways and for different purposes. Scientific studies have shown beneficial effects of meditation, and there are many offers for those who want to meditate to relax better and be more present in the present.

Daniella Csizmadia was born in 1975 in Pecs, Hungary and took refuge with Lama Ole Nydahl in 1996 in Budapest. She has been living in the Copenhagen Buddhist Centre since 2007. Daniella has travelled on most continents with Lama Ole and Hannah Nydahl.

Lecture on ‘Love & Compassion’

Tuesday 27. September

On 27 September the Canadian couple Chris and Susan Bixby are visiting Aarhus Buddhist Center to hold a public lecture about “Love and Compassion” in Diamondway Buddhism. There will be a common guided mediation after.

The goal of Buddhism is a state of lasting, unconditional happiness known as enlightenment. Buddhist methods help us to recognize the own nature of mind – the own Buddha nature – which is spontaneous joy, fearlessness and active compassion.

Chris and Susan Bixby met Lama Ole Nydahl in 1994 and started to hold lectures in 2006. During the last 20 years they were involved with work for Diamondway Buddhism in North America, Chris as a lawyer and Susan with communication work. The couple has been married for 43 years and has three kids. They live on a farm at the bottom of the Rocky Mountains, where many Diamondway teachers have been for retreat over time.
